I have been waiting so long for this.
Acid House Kings began making music in the early 90s with a systematic plan for world domination; to release an album every 5 years, giving time for the songs to ripen and the band's sound to grow. A small chronological playlist of their best singles shows undeniable improvement over the years, each album more refined and magical than the last. It is with great anticipation, therefore, that Music Sounds Better With You is received.
The indisputably most catchy album from the band's discography so far, 'Sing Along With Acid House Kings', broke the 5-year cycle when it was released only 3 years after 2002's elaborately titled 'Mondays Are Like Tuesdays And Tuesdays Are Like Wednesdays', so it's only fair to make us wait an extra year between the last tale of twee heartbreak and this new mysterious, cleanly-recorded, castanet-popping long player. Earlier this year, the band released outtakes of four songs and asked fans to pick which song should be released as the first single, the contest being won with Would You Say Stop?. They explained that choosing a single was too difficult, that any song off the album would make a great hit. A bold claim, sure, but they really weren't far off with Sing Along.
To stream the album before it comes out on March 22nd, head on over to Hype Machine and login or register. They have seized the place for this week's featured album premiere, beginning today.
